Agricola {LINK: to Glauchau museum} was city physician in Joachimsthal during the prosperous years (1527-1530); here he wrote Bermannus, a catechism on mining techniques and lore. There is no monument dedicated to Agricola in Joachimsthal, even though he figured significantly in the development of its technology. Since the visit of the authors, this building has been converted into a health store featuring local herbs.
