Paracelsus, succumbing to his final illness, was transported from his home on Platz 3 to this house for his final testament. In a room on an upper floor he gave final directions for his burial at St. Sebastians. He willed his medical books, implements, and medicines to a doctor in Salzburg. All his other goods and possessions he bequeathed to the poor and needy. Three days later, he passed away. "Man's power over us ends at death, and only God deals with us then, and God is love." He did not fear death, which was "His day's work ended and God's harvest time."
