Previous | Home | NextØrsted's famous discovery of electromagnetism took place at a different place, at Nørrgade 21, about 200 meters north of the Studiostræde location. Nørrgade 21 is now the TDC office building (Telecommunications Denmark Corporation). The door to the left is the original office site, called "Telefonhuset" (Telephone house). The spire of Sankt Petri Kirke (St. Peters church) can be seen above the building in the background. The St. Peters church is half-way between Nørrgade 21 and Studiostræde 6.
