St. Philip's Cathedral is at the end of these buildings, to the right. The chairman of the dinner was James Keir, a chemical industrialist and one of the members of the Lunar Society (see above).Warned that there might be trouble, the dinner broke up by 6 p.m. Ironically, Priestley, probably the main focus of the gathering mob, did not attend. The rioters gathered by 7-8pm -- too late to confront the participants.
