The arrows identify Upper Mall and Lower Mall. Hatchett's home was somewhere on Lower Mall, which is now in Furnival Gardens. The reason for the uncertainty of his location is that surviving letters have his address listed as simply "Hammersmith," or at best "Lower Mall, Hammersmith." It is ironic that we do not know precisely where he lived, but we do know the exact location of the mineral he analyzed -- it is stored at the Natural History Museum in South Kensington {LINK: London2G-010}.
