The new Chemicum can be seen stretching down Väinö Auerin Katu, The University of Helsinki was the original Imperial Academy of Turku (Åbo), which was moved to Helsinki in 1828, after the Great Fire of Åbo. The Finnish name for the University of Helsinki is "Helsingin yliopisto," and the Swedish name is "Helsingfors universitet."
