(Parc ornithologique de Pont de Gau) where the Rhone River meets the Mediterranean and has formed a delta. Many unusual species of birds visiting from Africa can be found here; during the authors' visit the Sacred Ibis from Egypt was spotted by the authors (Threskiornis aethiopica, the revered bird portrayed on Egyptian tombs and obelisks).
