Paracelsus, who was a pioneer in melding the two fields, found Strasbourg a community that was perhaps perfect for his destiny -- maybe at last he had found an ideal home for his profession. But within a year he was called to Basel, Switzerland, to cure the famous publisher Frobenius; Basel developed into the crisis and climax of his life. Strasbourg was only a temporary respite to his continuous wanderings. |
