Previous | Home | NextThis is the view at the southern extreme of Nonnengasse, approaching the Bergakademie (Mining Academy). This is about 100 meters from the "Bergakademie - Akademiestraße entrance" (see map 4). The view is northward along Nonnengasse, looking down the hill toward the Bergakademie area. This Mining School, the very first in Europe, trained countless scholars and famous chemists and mineralogists who fanned out across Europe. Germanium and indium also were discovered at this Mining Academy.
