Plaque on house: "Dr. H. Ferdinand Reich 1799-1882. Professor for physics at the Bergakademie. Superintendent of the Mining Board. Discoverer, with Dr. H.C. H. Th. Richter, the chemical element indium." The first "H.C." in Richter's title means "honoris causa," or awarded without the usual matriculation.
