Looking the other direction on the south side of Hauptstrasse is this building with a gray plaque to the far right just above the ground floor windows. This is the building, Hauptstraße 52, where Kirchhoff performed his spectroscopic studies. It now serves the Institut für Übersetzen und Dolmetschen (Institute for translation and interpretation, serves as a training school for interpreters).
