The Agricola plaque is to the left of the entrance door. Tragically, upon Agricola's death in 1555 in Chemnitz {LINK: to Chemnitz} 60 km to the southeast, anti-Catholic sentiment was strong and Agricola was not allowed to be buried in that Protestant stronghold. Instead, his remains were transported to St. Peters and Paul in Zeitz. A plaque dedicated to Agricola was erected but disappeared in the 1600s. This replica was recreated in 1934.
Being in a dark corner of the cathedral, and being composed of noncontrasting stone, it is very difficult to reproduce in a photograph (see next photo).
