Previous | Home | NextOccasionally across Europe one can still find on old buildings a conversion table allowing one to understand the new metric system, which was adopted universally during the 19th century. This one is found on Via Schiavuzzo, not far from the celebrated "Genius" statue ("Statua del Genio di Palermo"), straight ahead in this view. The two persons are Professor Arturo Russo of the University of Palermo (right) who is guiding the author and a colleague Dr. Leroy Theriot (left, from the University of North Texas).
