This is the modern view of the Lichttoren. Now the Lichttoren is modernized and is occupied by fancy restaurants, shops, and apartments and at night is a prominent well-lit landmark. The view is south, with a view down Emmasingel (angling to the left). The skyscraper at the end of Emmasingel is De Regent ("The Regent"), an apartment building. A historic building of note which can be seen just past the Litchttoren is "De Witte Dame" ("The White Lady") built in 1928, which once produced radio vacuum tubes, and which now is a library.
