This old map dates from 1900, showing the Berezovsky orefield. Each square (quadrangle) measures one verst on a side (one verst = 1.05 km). Crocoite (lead chromate, PbCrO4) was discovered in 1764 at the Tsvetnoi Mine (meaning "Painted Mine"). The Tsvetnoi quadrangle border is identified by the green border.
