Previous | Home | NextA quick side trip on Vasily Island, 400 meters west of the Mendeleev Museum, takes us to the scene of the old Cadet Corp, at the junction of S"ezdovskaya Lin., Tuchkov Per., and Kubanskiy Per. This is where Mendeleev had his intermediate home after he left his residence at the present Mendeleev Museum in 1890 and before he moved to 19 Moskovsky Pr. in 1892 (see following photos). (At the time Mendeleev lived here S"ezdovskaya Lin. was called Kadetskaya Lin.) Mendeleev lived on the third floor.
