The upper coat-of-arms includes the double-tailed rampant lion of the Kingdom of Bohemia. At the lower right is the city coat-of-arms of Bratislava. At the lower left is the Slovakia coat-of-arms, with the classical "double cross" or "patriarchal" cross, considered by the Slovaks as the symbol of their country since the 16th century (the coat of arms of Hungary also includes the patriarchal cross, along with other features).
