The mine had always been a fascinating place in Los and in 1989 the Foreningen Loosgrufvan [Loos Mine Organization] was formed whose purpose was to maintain the mine. Efforts to rehabilitate the mine began in the autumn. The interest was very high among the local community and new members joined the association. It was realized quickly that the old cobalt mines could become a tourist attraction."
