Already in the 14th century, abbots of the monastery near Pfäfers built the first bath house. Paracelsus was the 1535 best-known doctor in the Bad Pfäfers. During the period 1704 to 1718 in Bad Pfäfers the the oldest preserved Baroque baths in Switzerland were built, which were restored 1983-1995. The monumental building maintains a centuries-old culture in Tamina Gorge. . ."
