This memorial to Francis Wollaston begins with Hebrew "L'Adonai Elohai," translated as "To the Lord my God." The Latin inscription may be translated as "To the Creator and Redeemer. Mindful of the enduring and beneficent divine will to which for his whole life he was dedicated, Francis Wollaston, rejoicing in a thankful heart and Christian hope, wished this memorial to be placed in the chancel of this church. (He was) the son of Francis and the nephew of William and Rector of this parish from 1769 to 1815."
The memorial dates to shortly after Francis' death.
