This tellurium coin was minted in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia {LINK: to Banska Stiavnica} and is only one of three specimens known to exist (the others in the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest and at the University of Sopron, Hungary). Banská Štiavnica is the historic site of the famous Mining School, formerly known as Schemnitz (German name) or Selmeczbánya (Hungarian name).
