Paracelsus was accommodated by a certain Blaius Beham (Recorder of Pozsony) in September, 1527. This building, directly across from the St. Martin's Cathedral, may be much like the housing of dignitaries at the time of Paracelsus. His "fame was in the mouths of men" as he was honored at a banquet in the home of Beham. A recording of the diet has survived: fish, pastry, roast, wine, rolls, groats, milk, eggs, vegetables, parsley, butter, fruit and cheese. Beham even recorded the wage earned by the cook: 24 pfennings.
