Various syrups to treat ailments, principally coughs. "Syrup Cydonidor" generically referred to orchids, and was typically a mixture of acids and opium. "Oxymel" is a mixure of honey, water, spice, and vinegar, boiled down to a concentrate. "Syrup Simple" referred to a boiled down concentrate of a sugary solution.
